/The intended formulation
- Glycerin, panthenol and other humectants: intended to help bind water and condition skin.
- Ectoin at a target 1%: a moisture-binding cosmetic ingredient, not evidence that the finished cream is more effective than a cheaper product.
- Niacinamide: a skin-conditioning ingredient; it does not establish a finished-product medical benefit.
- Squalane and emollient esters: intended to soften skin and contribute to the feel of the formula.
- Dimethicone: skin conditioning and moisture-loss reduction; its presence does not prove matte finish, no transfer or compatibility.
- Phenoxyethanol with ethylhexylglycerin: the proposed preservative system. Finished-product stability, microbiology, preservation and safety need assessment; naming a preservative is not that evidence.
